We will forward this feedback to our leadership team for further review. I'm just being completely honest here, it's not a good place. Checking was maddening, as all AC hotels. Our room was beautiful and very well designed. Also, this side of the boardwalk is DEAD. Room service was excellent though. One of the major lamps in the room is not working which has been a real drag because 3 lamps are supposed to light the room??? Again I wish we had been given an upgrade to a better rook category, but for a regular room, it was nice. Food was great for the times we ate at the resort, although the steak house had really long waits between courses. The view is decent and the staff did accommodate my request for a room on a high floor thankfully. Luckily we are Globalists so we had a dedicated line, but the angry stares we got from everyone else were very telling into how long people weee waiting. Instead, they should have spent the money more usefully. Walk to the Hard Rock and its jamming. I mean, it just feels dead. I called around for service and left the room at pm. We are delighted to hear how lovely of a time you had while staying with us! Our room is actually very decent. They are probably deliberately under staffing to save on labor costs. Bathroom was huge and nice, bed was comfortable. So pissed! We have been here for two nights so far and we have spent more waking time at the Hard Rock and Borgata. I mean, really, it is badly designed. Nearly everything has been not up to par and I predict this place won't last. Took us 2. Casino: The casino feels dead. I was really looking forward to staying at this place as I'm aware that it is newly opened under new ownership from the Revel. We hope to welcome you back again soon! I mean its just weird. I can assure you that the Hard Rock has much better comping. You can look that up on UNLV's gaming research website. Apparently all the blinds on the side we stayed in do not work. Had I known, I would've booked the Borgata. I mean, they're alive. So, I will explain it. First at check in: They had two check in people around 7pm monday night and seven people in line so I waited for about minutes just to check in. Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else. I mean, the ceiling is like 60 feet high in the lobby and for what???? It's a low effort and terrible. Its scary and its just I've never seen anything like it and not in the good way. Too bad our hotel nights are not refundable, because we would have stayed at the Borgata or just about anywhere else. Everything about those places is much better than the Ocean. And on occasion you can feel the escalators rocking. They have a restaurant here called cereal town. However, it needs lighting drastically. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}The premium players club has a great ocean view and the food and service are superb. Maybe the pools will be of acceptable standard. I've worked in hotels, I've worked in restaurants. There is a lot to say about the Ocean Resort Casino, but very little of it is good. We do apologize for all of the inconveniences you did experience. We will be back though and give it another try. Oh, by the way, go to Hard Rock and sign up for the players card and you get a comedy show and maybe a free buffet. There are lots of people in both and having fun. The service could not be completed unless someone was in the room so I called again for service at 9pm when we got back. But wait time to check in is a problem, especially when we are talking a week day assuming weekends in AC will always be crazy. Escalators: This is hard to explain for people who haven't been here but its a big problem. I stayed here over the summer and never got around to posting a review. Our goal is for all our guests to have an exceptional time. The tech was very honest and let us know that all end rooms have the same issue. I am not a negative person. We truly do appreciate you taking the time to let us know of your experience! I have been to many hotels and resorts in many countries and I can say without a doubt that this hotel has been designed worse than any other that I have ever visited. Layout and Design: This hotel has serious design and layout problems. It just feels unsafe. What a mistake that turned out to be. The public areas inside the hotel are just huge and wasteful. In short, it's a scam. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We were held hostage in our room because we could not leave waiting for someone to come check on our blinds. They need to address that. I am very disappointed with our stay at the ocean resort. I am also concerned that Hyatt Globalists will not be reaping their membership benefits that they deserve. If this thing survives another year or two, I would be extremely surprised. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and quick. Called for service twice before the tech showed up. However, there is nothing special about the room they make a big deal about it on the website. I would've preferred honesty from the front desk but it was information withheld so they wouldn't lose a guest. I mean, walk outside the Ocean and its just a building all the outside places are closed. Worth earning a premium card for the priveledge. I am not a complainer. We were given room and waited several hours for someone to come and check on the blinds before we had to leave for dinner. We value all of our guests and we do hope to see you in the future. This hotel is just not up to the task. Even for Atlantic City its low. We do look forward to making new memories with you in the future. We are grateful that you did take the time to speak with us and we are glad that we were given the chance to rectify this situation. My question is, Why the hell were we switched to a room just a couple floors up with the same exact problem? By the way, Borgata on weeknights has about 5 or 6 check in people no matter how many people are in line. The walk from main hotel car pull up area to the check in desk is about yards or more. I asked the tech to close the blinds due to the sun in the morning. We checked in Thursday night and the check in line wrapped around the entire lobby. Even for a week night it is empty in comparison to the other casinos around.
